Johnnie believes in the power of a brand’s ability to uplift and inspire people beyond transaction. To capture true emotion and real feelings that make for defining moments where brands and consumers align over shared values and common beliefs. As a brand strategist, I revel in unlocking insights that help champion the human emotion our favorite brands unlock within us everyday.
His career began as an entrepreneur and strategist in Chicago, working in an agency by day, and running my t-shirt business by night. Fresh Connection Brand gave me the opportunity to explore my creative passions in fashion and business partnerships. Working with Dwyane Wade, Microsoft, and others allowed me to gain international exposure to business and people that transformed my perspective. While in agency life, my strategic mind expanded in mindset on how to make data and insights actionable for brands. This combination of entrepreneurial experience and strategic learning has shaped my career and ability to have an impact for brands.
Over the years, he has honed my strategic abilities in research, insights, media planning and creative ideation to become a multi-dimensional strategist. My experience extends across a wide variety of industries, helping brands like Courvoisier, Effen, Microsoft, Verizon Wireless, NBC Universal, Pepsi, Mountain Dew, MillerCoors, and Jordan Brand identify insights that connect their brands with consumers over shared values to drive real business results.

The Chicago space is a swanky massive warehouse off an alley with multiple rooms of activity. There is a mixture of storytelling, performances, panels, art exhibitions and good people. Each day has different programming and we recommend you get an accessible VIP ticket for hidden surprises and new year-long program launches. Tickets will not be sold at the door and this is a private 21 an older event.
