Announcing Jimmy Odom on Glappitnova’s The Good, Bad, and Ugly of Minorities Forum
We are excited to have entrepreneur Jimmy Odom on our “The Good, Bad, and Ugly of Minorities in Chicago” forum. This forum will be held at General Assembly.
Jimmy Odom was the former CEO of WeDeliver which is a crowd-sourced local delivery platform that enables local merchants the ability to deliver orders to their customers on the Same-Day. He now oversees the local practice for Silicon Valley-based Deliv, the same-day delivery platform that acquired his company in June 2015. Odom remains based in Chicago.
Jimmy was a participant for Glappitnova’s “The Big Night” showcase last year, and he will be involved again this year for our forum held at General Assembly. WeDeliver was founded in 2012 after winning Startup Weekend Chicago. Its first product, WeDeliver for Business, helps local businesses sell products online and deliver them. In 2014, the company introduced WeDeliver Locally, a free app for iPhone and Android.
The Good, Bad and Ugly of Minorities In Chicago Blurb:
Is it true Eric Bishop changed his name to Jamie Foxx to be more marketable, what about sexism in the workplace? It’s time to have that talk from a minority’s perspective spanning business, technology, and urban planning. Expect things to get awkward, engaging and potentially eye-opening to help provide a healthy environment moving forward in Chicago. This panel is located at General Assembly.
