How a Hashtag Changed 2 Lives Forever
What a time to be alive. There’s never been more opportunity and outlets to succeed as there is in this exact moment. Many people preach about following your passion, but very few take their own advice. Fortunately, Maria Isabel Pepio Pensabene has a passion that can’t be extinguished.
Maria Isabel has spent her whole life feeling an enormous attraction to Guatemala. Although many other locals share her appreciation, Maria used her passion to take it one step further. She wanted a way to promote Guatemala to tourists and ultimately promote the country’s rich beauty. So, her and her partner, Manuel Romero-Close, coined the hashtag: #PerhapsYouNeedALittleGuatemala.
Almost immediately, the phrase spread like wildfire and Maria’s love for her country became infectious. Now people from all over the world share their experiences and love for this spectacular country daily. They’ve been on a wild ride ever since, but the journey is far from over.
