We all saw the questions Mark Zuckerberg was asked and instantly knew there was a disconnect of generations. How do we make civic engagement and politics speak our language? In order to get anything done people, policy, and politics play a huge role within our city. Why? How? When? Where? Let’s talk about it with other talented professionals spanning the civic, political and workforce realm.
WHO IS OREN JACOBSON?
Oren Jacobson is a progressive civic entrepreneur, organizer, and activist whose civic work spans from local to international engagement. As a multi-sector consultant, his professional work spans startups, Fortune 150 companies, non-profits, political advocacy, and policy advising. He holds an MBA with an emphasis in strategic management, a Master’s in Economics and Policy Analysis, and recently completed his Master’s in International Relations from the University of Chicago. Oren serves as an economic and foreign policy advisor for current state and federal candidates/elected officials.
In 2014 Oren was selected as a New Leaders Council Chicago Fellow. He rose through the organization to become the National Chapter Development Director. NLC is the nation’s largest progressive leadership development organization with chapters in 50 cities and more than 5,000 alumni. In these roles, Oren works directly with hundreds of young leaders from across the country on efforts to build progressive capacity from the ground up.
Oren is also the co-founder and Executive Director of Men4Choice, an organization focused on engaging, educating, and activating men into the fight to protect and expand reproductive rights in Illinois. Men4Choice was part of a coalition that pushed Illinois to pass the most progressive reproductive rights law in the nation in 2017, securing a huge win for equity, and the fight for reproductive and economic justice. Men4Choice travels the state speaking to men about misogyny and the need to get engaged in the fight for gender equity and reproductive freedom. Oren also serves on the board of the Illinois Campaign For Political Reform, Personal PAC, Avodah’s Chicago Advisory Council, is a Truman National Security Project Political Partner and served as the 2017 Co-Chair for AJC’s Global Forum. Will email Nick

Each day has different programming and we recommend you get an accessible VIP ticket for hidden surprises and new year-long program launches.
