Kamilah Rashied: (Participant)
Kamilah Rashied is the Assistant Director of Community Programs and Engagement at the Art Institute of Chicago. Kamilah is a double alumnus of DePaul University where she received her BFA in Performance at the Theater School and her MFA in Arts Leadership. Having worked as a teaching artist, arts administrator and producer she has over a decade of experience in Performing Arts Administration & Project Management, Arts in Education Program Development & Implementation, Community Arts Programming, and Civic-Minded Arts Engagement. Ms. Rashied has contributed to new and ongoing programs at many venerable arts and culture organizations in Chicago, some include: Court Theatre, Writers Theatre, Victory Gardens Theater, Chicago Shakespeare Theater, Young Chicago Authors, the Chicago Park District and the Chicago Public Library among others. In her current position as Assistant Director of Community Programs and Engagement at the Art Institute of Chicago, she works collaboratively across the museums’ dedicated programming wing to vision and implement new and ongoing programmatic offerings, both at the museum and across the city.

Moshe Tamssot: (Participant)
Moshe Tamssot is a lifelong Innovator. He is founder of The Monks of Invention (http://MonksOfInvention.com), a social experiment in new business creation, now in its seventh year. He’s brought new businesses to life for some of the world’s largest companies including American Express, GE, and Kraft Foods, and has also launched a number of startups, including MakeItFor.Us, a service that gets anything made ( http://MakeItFor.Us ). Moshe’s current passion project is leading the Mission to resurrect Chicago’s Museum of Holography ( http://HoloMuseum.org ) , once the world’s largest (+2,000 Holograms), longest running (32 years), and last. Moshe’s also an Urban Beekeeper that’s allergic to bees, and just helped rescue a swarm of bees in the West Loop this weekend…

Autumn Merritt: (Participant)
Autum Merritt is the Co-Owner, Sir & Madame. Autumn Dennard-Merritt, is a Howard University Graduate, with a B.B.A in Marketing. Never one to waste time, she began her college tenure in DC paying dues as a grass roots promotions representative, ultimately landing a position at Universal Music & Video Distribution as a College Lifestyle & Marketing Representative. Upon graduation, Autumn focused her efforts on further penetrating the Fashion Industry in Chicago. Her experiences in management, wholesale buying & selling, and visual merchandising prepared her for her greatest undertaking of all, the creation of a men’s and women’s brand and boutique, Sir & Madame (formerly Solemates…Chicago), which she opened with her husband in 2007. Surpassing the critical five year mark, Autumn is now witnessing the payoff of her marketing and brand strategy efforts. The proper positioning of her brand has afforded collaborations with Japanese Skin Care brand Shiseido and HBO, in addition to features in The New York Times, Uptown Magazine, Details and Huffington Post. In addition to making sure her family of four and business are intact, she is a contract events manager, having worked with powerhouse brand Nike on several activations in the Chicagoland area.

Janice Bond: (Moderator)
Janice Bond is a Cultural Curator & Art Activist. With a zeal for the creative and imaginative, Janice Bond is a curator, programs, and business development strategist specializing in arts and culture. The debut of her company SAVANT | SAVANT now Bond Creative Advisors in 2009, began the incalculable journey of Janice leading stellar collectives of great artistic minds and institutions as a consultant. In the community, she lends her time to multiple organizations and institutions as a gracious speaker, board member, volunteer, and mentor. In 2013, she was appointed Director of Arts and Culture at IMAN with a focus of using art as a tool for social justice and restorative healing on Chicago’s Southwest Side and beyond. In 2015 The Art Allies was launched, an initiative created to educate and develop more visual art collectors and arts entrepreneurs in major cities all over the world. Her debut solo exhibition, “Beyond the Binary” opened at Woman Made Gallery in Chicago, Illinois January 2016. In April 2016 she was invited to participate in the I International Photography Symposium at the Mark Rothko Art Center in Daugavplis, Latvia. The journey continues.
