Martina Abrahams’ Voice For Black Millennials Heads To Glappitnova San Francisco
Martina is a Bay Area transplant from the East Coast who misses bagels, pizza and beef patties to no end. She developed a love for history, culture, and stories at a young age, which she turned into a career in product marketing. This year, she founded You Had Me at Black, a podcast and event series where Black Millennials use storytelling to reclaim the Black narrative. You can catch her on Twitter as @MARTINAdotA. What’s The Glappitnova Celebration?
Glappitnova’s mission is to bring people together, and we’ve found the perfect underground multi-level lofted space in the Mission District. Every year we mix entrepreneurship, culture, and entertainment through underground showcases with extremely talented individuals. We are expanding our signature showcases to selected cities. We are inviting artists, investors, entrepreneurs, researchers, filmmakers, techies, djs, singers, and more to hang out for a few hours. At our signature showcases participants have 10 minutes to wow the crowd. Some founders have shared moments on raising millions for their startup, musicians performed before seeing them on NBC’s The Voice, and even an athlete talked about a goal of making team USA before earning an Olympic Bronze Medal. Expect an intimate blend of storytelling, performances, networking, and partying with a diverse audience July 8th 7:00 pm – 10:00 pm. Every city is different, and the Glappitnova global celebration ends in Chicago on a larger scale at The Big Night. We highly recommend showing up early. You must RSVP in advance to attend this free event, and the lineup is subject to change. This is a +21 event, and proper ID will be checked at the door.
