Sometimes It Pays To Be Early Adopters
Early adopters add plenty of value to a company.
Apple is one of the best in the game for it. Being a startup the journey to your success is not necessarily a straight line. You might make a few u-turns, pit stops, wrong turns down a one way street, get stopped in frustration, and ask for local help.
“You must keep going, but be realistic. You can’t drive to Hawaii from the United States.”
With Glappitnova it’s always been about community, and rewarding others especially in our early stages. That’s where early adopters comes into play for us. We like to provide some sort of inter-changable value. So we our asked a question of what would you want to improve within your generation, and why on our Facebook page. The winner would get a free ticket for “The Big Night” July 16th for Glappitnova.
We know everyone doesn’t have Facebook, and Facebook’s 12% algorithm pay to share is in full effect. So you really have to find creative ways to reach your audience for free. Here is a great way to reach the best young professionals in any city. We were pretty amazed at the quality of public responses, so we decided to give them all free tickets. This was our first social media ticket giveaway, and you have to start somewhere. The key thing is to just do it.
Public Responses
Neil Fontano: Our reliance on technology to communicate, socialize, and network with one another. Put down the phone. Go out, grab a drink, dinner, catch some entertainment, make some art. Really get to know people and develop relationships in person.
Kelauni Cook: Honestly, I would bring back original communication. While social media is great it’s made us a “lazy” generation. Actually, technology in general has made us ADD and spoiled. I feel like we don’t cherish working hard anymore. We just want everything now, which in turn makes everyone lost and not very productive. I just want us to look at each other on the train again….
Trent Hoerr: Can’t wait to be there! And, I would improve our generation’s knowledge of our government and the corruption that takes place.
Jessy Davis: The dependency of technology to be connected to each other. While technology is great and does incredible things, when you lose the power of human interaction face to face, we’re failing as a society.
Efosa Guobadia: To redefine health not just as the absence of disease but as the attainment of optimal level of function and nutrition. As a physical therapist, functional capacity and optimum quality of life is a big focus when dealing with my patients.
Patrick Michael: Leverage our status as digital natives to make/demand government services be more transparent, as well as find more creative and beneficial ways to apply open data.
We will be in contact soon to give you your ticket, and thanks for participating. We will have a ticket giveaway every week leading up to the festival. Don’t miss out. Glappitnova unites young influencers from all industries through live storytelling, live performances, and various classes for one week in Chicago.
